About the horse
Agge la Roque is the sister of Ante la Roque, who won his Kriterium trial and came third in the final in 2022.
Ante la Roque continues to deliver at the age of 5, and on May 11, he took a commendable second place (behind Elitlopp contender Joviality) in the Berth Johansson Memorial at Umåker. Ante's starting price has risen to SEK 2,179,000 since the auction catalog was printed. On Saturday, May 25, Ante will compete in the Sweden Cup, so with a little luck and skill, his starting price may rise even further.
Agge la Roque's other siblings are 4-year-old Ringo la Rogue (by Ringostarr Treb), who won his debut in convincing style for Åke Lindblom, and 2-year-old Janne la Roque (by International Moni), who is said to be performing well in training for his trainer Maria Törnqvist. Excerpt from the groom's blog on Maria's website: "When you sit behind Janne and drive, you can feel that something special is happening..."
In closing, we’d like to congratulate Agge la Roque’s sire, Nuncio, whose first offspring (and thus a “ Filly ”!!) by Decision Maker will be competing in the Elitloppet. Speaking of Nuncio and his “ Filly ” offspring, we note that Nuncio’s most successful offspring—as well as two of his three most successful offspring—are actually mares!!
