Giclée
Technically virtuosic, with a large dose of childlike joy and a hidden layer of thought-provoking psychologizing.
This is how Caroline af Ugglas' art is described. When af Ugglas herself describes her art,
she mentions that as a young woman she coined her own ism – anti-depressionism. There should be a kind of poetry in the image. It should look happy and wonderful, nice to look at, but with
a downside. Af Ugglas has been painting alongside her musical career since she was 20. Today, she is one of Sweden's most popular artists and performers.
The clown nose is a central and recurring element in Caroline af Uggla's art. How you as a viewer choose to react to the clown nose is up to you, but regardless of how you view it, the red nose contributes to a psychological layer in her painting. A kind of exclamation mark that is, of course, included in this Giclée.
The money will be donated to the Life After Racing charity.
