Classic cold-blooded trotters are closely related to Sundbo Smaragd’s pedigree, and when combined with three-time Elitkamp winner Odd Herakles, all the ingredients for success are in place.

Sundbo Smaragd is the sister of six horses with times of 1:28.5 or better. Her grandmother, Smulan K., is actually quite unique in cold-blooded breeding: her offspring have racked up 104 wins and earned 6.8 million! Among these are the millionaires Rolex K. (who won the Kriterium and the Derby in the same crop as a certain Järvsöfaks!), the winner of the Swedish Championship; Pålex K. (Swedish Championship winner) and Truls K. Other millionaires from the same branch of the family tree are Vestpol Gladiator and Bodbäckssiv. Sundbo Smaragd’s firstborn, Eskils Joker, won races as a three-year-old.
