Fjalar’s dam is a sister to Föynland Anna, who won the Criterium and Oaks in Norway. Fjalar’s granddam won the Swedish Derby and is a sister to the world’s best Filly/Mare Silje. The maternal line has produced many outstanding horses. Great-granddam Lannem Sjura is an Elite Mare.  Fjalar’s sire, Galileo, has gotten off to a strong start as a sire; Bokli Leo finished second in this year’s Kriterium at Dannero. Galileo has a pedigree very similar to that of Åsajerven, who is the sire of Lannem Silje and Föynland Anna. Fjalar’s maternal grandfather is Bork Odin, one of the best breeding stallions. Fjalar was raised on limestone-rich pastures on Gotland.
