Didicoy certainly has impressive pedigree. His sire is the elite stallion and Prix d’Amérique winner Maharajah; his dam won a full-distance race in 1:15 as a three-year-old; and his maternal grandmother was the top mare of her crop, having earned nearly two million. In addition, his maternal grandmother’s Dam Brodda, won the Stora Treåringspriset and placed third in the Stochampionatet.
Didicoy has had various problems with durability, most recently a reaction in a flexor tendon in early July. The injury is now considered healed and Didicoy is ready to start training again.
