How it works

Menhammar OnlineSales 2022 - live Web TV broadcast
At 18.45 CET (Central European Time) on Sunday July 10th the live Web TV broadcast of Menhammar OnlieSales 2022 begins at The first call out for bids is at 19.00 CET. During the broadcast, the horses will be presented and sold one by one via a bidding program developed for this purpose.

"A digital auction as close to live as possible" was the mission when Menhammar OnlineSales was created. The corona pandemic in 2020 changed the world in many ways and horse auctions were no exception. Digital auctions have existed for several years, but during this special situation, we wanted to do something new, better and more fun - the idea was born with Menhammar OnlineSales. All auctions take place in a live broadcast from a TV studio with an auctioneer and an expert as co-host. In the broadcast, the horses will be presented and sold via a self-developed bidding program for this very purpose.

To become a bidder
Bidding on our website should be smooth and in the same way as at a regular auction, combined with a certain nerve and excitement. It is important that you create an account well in advance of the auction to be ready to place your bids when the auction starts.

If you already have an account
If you have previously participated in one of the Menhammar OnlineSales auctions, your account details will be saved. 1) Navigate to "Log in" on the upper right corner of the page. 2) Click "Lost your password" to change the password before each auction and 3) fill in, check and approve that your contact information is correct and 4) approve the Terms and Conditions for that specific auction.

To createa new account
To create a new account on the auction page, go to and click on the
Login button. Enter your email address and click the Register button. You will then receive an email with instructions and a link to create a password.
2. Then log in to the auction page with your new password. You will come to "My page" and there you must fill in your contact information. Note that all fields are mandatory. Finish by confirming that the information filled in is correct. After your registration, you will receive an email with identification information using the Scrive function where Swedish customers can use their bank ID for identification. Foreign customers identify themselves via an sms code or similar. The signing is linked to an agreement between the seller and the buyer. Please note that each new auction has separate auction terms that you must approve before each auction. If you have already done an identification check at previous Menhammar OnlineSales auctions, you only need to approve the current auction terms found on "My page".
4. After the identification and after that you have accepted the Terms and Conditions for the specific auction, you will be able to use your account to bid on the horses. Your password is now linked to your identification and your approval of the auction agreement when bidding. Make sure you use a sufficiently secure password and do not share it with others.

Bidding on a horse
As a registered and approved bidder, you are ready to bid on the horses.
All bids are made anonymously, but all bids can be followed under the bid history on the web page. If you are the first to place a bid on a horse, you will be " Bidder 1 ", but only for the horse in question. If you are the seventh person to place a bid on another horse, you will be " Bidder 7 " on that horse. The first time you place a bid, you must confirm the bid with another push of a button. After that you bid by just clicking "Place bid". After each winning bid, the buyer becomes official and presented on the auction web page. The horses are sold one at a time with a clear closing procedure. The auctioneer waits until the bids stop and instead of counting "first, second, third" and then hitting a club, he will start a countdown clock that counts down 15 seconds. If there is a new bid within the 15 seconds, the countdown restarts automatically from 15 seconds and continues to do so until no new bids are received during the countdown. The one who has the highest bid when the countdown is over and the digital club falls has won the bidding.
Keep in mind that there may be a delay of a few seconds in the live TV broadcast, which is why it is the clock on the auction web page that counts.

Bidding intervals
The asking price is presented under each horse page and there is also information about current bidding intervals. You can increase the bid by several intervals (maximum 10) if you click several times before accepting your bid. You can't increase your own bid.
