Ektara is a daughter of the superstar mare Timbal, and it’s especially exciting that Calgary Games is her sire! Timbal’s three-year-old, Izigubhu, is a direct descendant of Calgary Games and got off to a brilliant start to his racing career with a victory at Solvalla in 1:15.5 over 2,140 meters. Ektara finished in the top three in 13 of her 27 starts and won, among other races, the Amiretta Stakes. She set the record of 1:13.2a while finishing fifth in a qualifying race for the Derbystoet.
